i’m in disbelief that it’s thursday again, partly because i spent all day yesterday thinking it was thursday, and partly just because time is FLYING. like i mentioned earlier this week, our town had it’s annual ‘festival’ – good neighbor days – this past weekend. we literally hung out with our neighbors, so that was super fitting [and fun!]. one thing i LOVE about living in a small town is the everyone-knows-everyone mentality. i know some people hate it [it’s a pretty polarizing convo, actually], but i love that i have that piece of my life. i spend all day working in the ‘big city’ and come home to a house that overlooks fields and a lake, and some of the best people around. growing up in a [nearby] small town, i knew i wanted to live in that setting, so it was a no brainer that i would live in + commute from whatever community joey taught in.
speaking of him, he’s headed to the boundary waters for the next five days, so i’m solo mom-ing it. and by ‘solo mom,’ i mean every grandparent in the area is enlisted for help. sometimes twice. it takes a village.
i know you are all here to see what fab finds i found this week, so i won’t keep you any longer. here’s all the good stuff target had to offer me, including some awesome new kitchen items from target’s new line, made by design, and [of course] some new who what wear pieces [shocking, really].
oh! can’t believe i forgot this – we finally finished our basement! joey promised he’d have it done before he went on his trip, and the carpet was the last thing to be installed the day before he left. my cloffice will be moving down there, so if you follow along on instagram, you’ll likely see a few stories of the chaos over the next week.
