hi friends – happy thursday! in the true spirit of keeping you up to date with what’s happening, as well as getting to the real reason you are here [my current target faves], i’ve put everything that’s been happening in a list:
- logan has hit a whole new level of fun. she’s talking non-stop around home [a little shy if it’s more than just her ‘people’], and SO SMART. like, it blows me away how much she is picking up on! she can count, say her alphabet, repeat things, and has total context for what things and who people are. it’s so amazing to witness each and every day, and just when i think i can’t love her more, she goes and does something even more amazing. i just love being her mom, and it’s such a privilege to get to raise such a funny, smart, sweet [and v. sassy!] little girl
- i got a nap. no, i really did mean to include this – it’s not a typo. sometimes, it’s really hard to just be ON all. day. long. up, workout, work, home, play with logan, bed. it’s a lot, and when i get low on sleep, it really impacts me. i took a legit two hour nap on saturday, and i feel like a NEW HUMAN. i’m an eight hours a night kind of girl, so this put me back on track.
- i went golfing for the first legit time ever! i wasn’t quite sure how i’d do, but it was fun. thank goodness we didn’t keep score … joey and i are both way too competitive to keep score against each other until i get a little better.
- last but not least, my bestie had her baby! [or as my mom refers to it “babies having babies”]. i’ve said it before, and i’ll say it again – there’s nothing quite like watching your already amazing, fierce, beautiful friends become moms. it’s so cool, and so inspiring, and to get to see one of my lifelong friends begin that journey is so amazing. and so the framily [friend family] gets bigger!
alright, now time for all the goodness i found at target this week. a couple of these things i’ve included i have had for a while, and want to call out just because i truly love them. the camo shirt being one of them. i wear it year round, and dress it up with a pencil skirt and down with denim shorts. it’s so versatile! i’m also loving the leopard slide sandals i got. they literally go with everything, and are SO comfortable. i just got the makeup brushes and am a huge fan, and i am actually using the copper makeup holder as a sunglasses organizer in my new cloffice.
there you have it! i’m SO excited to hit up the nordstrom anniversary sale with my mom and logie this weekend. i’m a tried and true target die-hard, but i love me some nordstrom. i swear, every piece i have ever got from there has been great fit, high quality, and unique [pretty amazing considering all of the brands they have under the nordstrom name!] i’ll be updating links and favorites as i go along. in the meantime, have a great last half of the week!
