weekly roundup

happy sunday friends! i rounded up this weeks looks and linked as best i could, but before i jump to that, i just wanted to pop in with a couple of really good things i came across this week.

  1. i am not a part of MLM marketing [by choice – my plate is full!], but i have a lot of friends on social media/in my network that are, and i thought this podcast that rachel hollis did was chock full of useful info! even if you aren’t part of an MLM marketing organization, there are tons of good takeaways. give it a listen!
  2. i’ve been trying to focus more energy into being grateful. over the past few years, gratitude has become a very key part of my life, but there’s so much room for me to expand on it. it’s truly the reason i don’t get the sunday scaries [grateful for a great job!], the reason i am able to commute a significant amount each week [grateful that i have a beautiful family to come home to, and a great job to go to], and most importantly, the reason i prioritize carving time out for friends and family. i never want to take for granted the fact that i’m able to be a part of their lives, and them mine. don’t even get me started on the fact that i get to be a part of my friends’ children’s lives … that right there is the ultimate honor. i choose happiness, and gratefulness is a huge part of that. read a really good article on happy people here.
  3. we got logan’s 18 month old questionnaire in advance of her appointment, and i was pleasantly surprised that i feel like she was hitting all the major milestones on there. to be honest, i never read any parenting books, and dr. google has been my buddy all the way along, so i have never been 100% confident in my parenting [i mean, is anyone? if so, send me your secrets!], but between that and when i handed logan something and she said “thank you mama,” i felt a great sense of pride. if i can raise a kind, good human, then i’ve done my job. let’s just hope i’m still singing her praises of politeness when she’s 13.

alright, on to the outfits! again, i got some of you guys reaching out for ideas on posts/feedback — thank you so much! one, for taking the time to read, and two, for reaching out with your kind words and ideas. it means so much to me and i love it!

have a great start to the week, guys, and if you are in minnesota, GET OUSTIDE! this weather is amazing. THIS is why we live through winters and blizzards in april. i truly do love my north.
