hi friends! i cannot believe it is already thursday again. how did that happen?! having monday off makes this week feel extra short. we had a super fun vacation, which i am so grateful for. for the first time in a while, i feel like i really got to appreciate how fun and smart logan is. she’s hilarious, and totally knows how to play off of our emotions [adorable now, in 15 years not so much]. she was a little fish at all the waterparks, swimming and splashing, and while it’s totally exhausting, it was so much fun to watch. of course, i can say that now because i’m [relatively] well rested.
we saw a minnesota staple, paul bunyan land. she was NOT a fan of the talking bearded, flannel-wearing man, but since i remember going there as a kid, we HAD to do it. it’s like a rite of passage, ya know? i will say, it’s a total money pit when you take your kids on a vacation. we took a ‘staycation’ for the main reason of not flying with an active toddler more than we had to, but the secondary reason of saving money. boy, were we wrong. ah well… we did it for the #mems and i wouldn’t take a second of it back. the things you do for your kids. we also saw thomas the train. to be honest, logan would have been just as happy to play in the bubble party they had going in the parking lot, but it was fun nonetheless.
anyone else getting that back-to-school itch? it might just be me, but i totally do a “back to school shop” for a few new outfits + supplies, aka new notebooks and pens. and binders. and paper clips in the shapes of animals. and a pair of gold scissors, because how am i expected to use the office-issued ones?! for real, i love it. i’m working on putting together some of my “back to school” looks that i’m super excited to wear for fall and will post in the next week or so, just soon enough to get me all excited for boots when that late august heat wave hits. anyways, today’s target roundup is none of that. i’m compiling that for a post in and of itself. today, i’m sharing the cutest wall art i found, some of the new skin products i’ve been using, and my FAVORITE who what wear drop yet. we have our high school reunion this weekend [ten years!!!! what?!], so i’m sure i’ll have to pick up something for that.
