back again today with some target goodness and some life updates! let’s start with life:
>i’m sure you saw, but we were in alabama last week for my baby bro’s wedding. it was LITERALLY the perfect day, from the weather to the decor to the people i got to spend it with. oh, and the food was SO GOOD. i would go back just for the food. and, you know, to see my bro and SIL. think: amazing apps, southern-style mac and cheese, and white sauce. logan got her love of “dip!!” from me, so i was in seventh heaven.
>it’s about that time … time to vote! it’s so important that if you have a POV on politics, at ANY level, you get out there. for that reason, i’m running for school board this year. i had intended to wait until logan was a little older, but there’s an opening for a write-in, and i feel like my background and professional skills, coupled with the fact that i’m close to the teaching community, and have a child [hopefully children eventually!] that will attend the school give me a versatile perspective.
>i have been SUPER tired lately, and trying to avoid getting sick, so i’ve been prioritizing trying to get in all the nutrients that keep me healthy. check out this post on how i prioritize my wellness. i’ve also been drinking these in the morning to help get a jumpstart on the protein my bod needs — i love the strawberry and the caramel. oh, and just bit the bullet and bought an entire container of this protein powder. SO GOOD, like so so good. plus, it’s made from plant protein which i find is much easier on my digestive system. my reco is to try the single use packs until you find one that you really enjoy.
ok, so what did i find at target this week? a few cute fall things. i’m really, really loving the motorcycle-style boots this fall, and always have a place in my heart for plaid. oh, and the fur-detailed hiking boots are just the cutest. i actually already have the sweatshirt/neoprene-ish dress, and plan on wearing later this week with mushroom colored knee-high boots. fall FTW.
