happy valentine’s day friends! i shared a post on monday about why i love this day, finally, and not for the reasons you think. today i’m here to share all the good things i’ve found at our fave red retailer lately … and i’m v. pleased to say that i’ve found some GOOD, good things this week.
one of my all-time favorite bloggers, katey from chronicles of frivolity, has posted about how she does her own manicures, and that 100% inspired me to start doing my own nails more often. not like i get manicures all the time, but it’s just one of those things that when your nails are done, you feel 110% more put together. it’s proven science. check out her post here for more info. anyways, she always has the best nail colors, so i stalked her blog while parking my cart in the nail polish aisle [it’s not even really an aisle anymore … the beauty section at target looks like a sephora. it’s magical] and figured out what colors she wore most often and purchased them for myself. “katey wears essie fiji, so i wore essie fiji” – all ‘mean girls’-esque.
what else did i purchase a pair of, and then subsequently return to target to get three more pairs, do you ask? the joylab seamless leggings. i’m seriously ON A HUNT for good leggings, to wear now and to wear post-baby. considering i got all four pair for the price of what i would pay for one and a half alo, lululemon, or athleta leggings, it was a done deal. i personally loved the 3/4 and crop length ones for summer [and my upcoming florida trips], and i wore the 7/8 ones with some sneaks + boots this weekend and they were perfect. in all honesty, the lengths were not THAT different, so i wouldn’t worry too much about crop | 3/4 | 7/8 | full length when ordering — they all err on the side of long. the fit over the rapidly growing belly, but are thick enough i didn’t have to worry about showing too much. i also snapped up a couple of these bras, since they are VERY comfortable for my [also ever-growing] chest. in my opinion, great quality for the price. joylab does it again!
i’m going to spare you the boring things i bought this week, like new pants for joey [although if there’s a guy in your life looking for some clothes, check out the goodfellow line at target! so trendy with affordable prices].
thanks, as always, for reading! happy valentine’s day 🙂 wishing you many heart shaped pizzas + reeses hearts today.
