interesting on the interwebs

happy friday! i’m taking today to round up some of the interesting things i’ve come across in the last week. i’m a huge lover of random facts + figures, so finding things on the internet that are randomly interesting make my day [and hopefully yours]:

1. this article on why doing a digital detox is a lot harder and more complicated than it sounds. i’m so aligned to the fact that a true digital detox can do more harm than good for some of us [note how i said SOME of us]. personally, i don’t feel comfortable being totally away from my phone because i have so many people in my life counting on me and that i care about [family / friends / coworkers], that the thought of not being able to be reached should there be an emergency stresses me out more than anything.

2. this article on what gen z is going to be looking for in the workplace [tbh, i don’t think it applies to just gen z] “to have the flexibility to allow their personal and professional sides exist side by side more peacefully”

3. a real, qualified nutritionist says that pb is the best kind of nut butter out there. now, i don’t want to discriminate, but i’m inclined to agree.

4. THIS – i’m so on board with the ‘let your kid dictate their own timing’ mentality, especially when it comes to potty training. we’ve been getting a lot of questions lately about if we plan on having logan potty trained by the time the new kid gets here, and my response is always “if she wants to.” i’m not going to force it, and i’m totally fine no matter what happens. also, i love katey and her blog, so check it out if that’s your kind of thing!

5. obsessed with the dot/leopard version of this shoe, plus it’s under a hundo for a well-reviewed workout + athleisure shoe. sold! [like, literally sold. just ordered a pair.]

happy friday! hope you all have something either fun, relaxing, or both planned for the weekend. we are off to watch b10 wrestling [hosted in MPLS this year!] and hoping not to get caught in the snowstorm we are scheduled to get. i actually stopped looking at the weather at this point, because it HAS to be spring eventually, right?!

thanks for reading 🙂
