today’s tarzhay thursday is a little different … i wanted to take a second and highlight one of the most valuable resources i have as a parent: time. maximizing my time is my main new year’s resolution // goal // theme for my year, and thanks to shipt, i can do just that [note: this is NOT a sponsored post. i paid for my shipt subscription two years in a row, and even though i can’t get home delivery yet, it’s well worth it]
like i said, shipt doesn’t quite deliver to my area yet, but not much [anything, actually, not a single service] does, so i’m not that surprised. so what do i used shipt for? when we go on vacation/travel, i shipt all of my groceries and/or supplies ahead of time. who really wants to haul a weeks worth of diapers + groceries for a kid when you are already bringing a stroller/carseat/pack and play/everything else? not this mom. work smarter, not harder. i queue up a shipt order the day before we are scheduled to travel, and it is all there waiting for us at our final destination. this eliminates an extra stop once we get in town, if we would have opted for that instead of carrying everything with us. this time i pre-bought logan’s swim diapers, regular diapers, snacks, and other items we might need.
one of the best parts? shipt isn’t just for target. while i chose to get all of my groceries and items from target this time, it has many other options depending on your zip code. like publix, for all you lucky peeps in the south. i LOVE a good publix and would gladly take one up north!!
you can rest assured i WILL be using shipt for more of my grocery orders once my home is in the delivery area, but in the meantime, i’ll keep enjoying using it to make traveling with a tiny human easier.
oh, it’s worth highlighting that target has a number of ways you can shop, ALL of which i take advantage of on a regular basis. to be honest, i really had no excuse to wait as long as i did to start using restock or just shipping things i needed, but in an effort to try and maximize my time with my family, i’ve been getting my goods sent to me in all the ways.
