gender + size?: “a bunch of kale” which is the biggest cop out ever, since a bunch of kale can be as big as you make it. i also read that baby boy is the size of a papaya, a bunch of bananas, or a throw pillow. i can attest to the fact that this kid does NOT feel like a throw pillow.
cravings/aversions?: there is minimal space to fit food in my stomach at this point, but i would say still ice cream. and candy.
maternity clothes?: i’m really working on not wearing pants these next few weeks, and the trade-off is that i have to stay on top of shaving my legs. not sure which one is more difficult, at this point. the nice part about wearing dresses is that i can sometimes get away with
workouts?: walking, slowly. there were two days this past week i REALLY wanted to skip, but am glad i didn’t. it helps that i walked right up until i had logan, so it’s like i’m in a competition with my *former* self.
weight gain?: 30ish lbs. add 2-4 if i’m on the doctor’s scale … is it weird i strategically plan my outfits so i’m not wearing heavy boots/coats/sweaters that add bulk? gotta keep it accurate, ya know. i can tell this little guy grew again, too, because i woke up one morning this past weekend and definitely feel like we are running out of room.
rings on or off?: on, but tbd if that is going to remain.
emotions?: we watched one planet on netflix the other day and i definitely teared up when the whales were ganging up on the seal [spoiler alert!]. even worse? when the baby flamingo couldn’t keep up with the pack. SO SAD!!!! [also, definitely pregnancy hormones. i’m always a crier when it comes to animals, but this normally probably wouldn’t have caused tears]
any other weird symptoms?: my skin has been SO itchy lately! i’m sure it’s because this little human is growing and stretching me to the max, but i’m just itch-city.
i’m working on getting all of my hospital bag items together, and man, it’s a lot harder to plan when you KNOW you’re going to spend a few days longer in the hospital. any advice on what to bring [especially for a c-section delivery] is welcome! comment here or reach out on instagram.
