happy friday my friends! today is a little crazy … we are seeing an allergist for logan, i have my 36 week appointment, and we are having dinner with some friends tonight. oh, and i’m going to be working in between there. talk about a full day and a tired prego lady! anyways, i wanted to share some things i’ve been into/loving lately:
i have been using bloglovin‘ lately to search for blog posts on some topics i want to know more about. my recent searches? “hospital bag” “sakara life” and “fab 4 smoothie.” if you are an avid blog reader, like i am, and haven’t been using bloglovin‘, you’re missing out! you can also follow me on there 🙂 *shameless plug*
i just ordered this bag for the baby’s hospital bag + my future pumping bag once i return to work. what got me? 1. it’s adorable 2. comes recommended from my SIL and 3. washable. plus it’s the same mz wallace look for a fraction of the price! i can’t wait for it to get here. the way i see it, this kid needs to hang on AT LEAST another 3-5 days for this to arrive.
i had ordered these red leggings and am SO excited to try them out post-baby. if they work as well as i think they well, i’ll be ordering this pair. the color combo is unexpected, but that’s why i think i love it!
i’m working on getting my ambition back to try some new recipes. i’ve been trying to get creative for our dinners at home, and so far in the past two weeks we have added in loaded wedge salads, shrimp and cauliflower “grits”, and spaghetti squash + meat sauce. i want to get into prepping some freezer meals, whether those are just muffins i can grab and go, or other easy dishes. recos? send them my way! even better if it’s big 8 allergen free for the tiny human 🙂
i picked up some protein powder single packs at whole foods last week that i’m looking forward to trying! i love adding collagen to my smoothies, but i find that when i use collagen as the protein base, it get’s weirdly frothy, so i need to try and find a different mix. i heard kelly leveque on this podcast and she was talking about how whey is a decent protein option [and one i usually overlook!] so i picked up a few options to try. my body handles dairy fairly well, so we shall see!
we will be hitting up the local easter egg hunt and i’ll be trying to tie up loose ends this weekend. wishing you a great weekend!
