i know it’s may, but i wanted to follow up and see how i did on my april intentions. you know, like, be accountable to myself? i’m purposely not setting may intentions because my intention is to give myself the freedom to recover and enjoy my family without any added pressure. so i guess by default my intention is to just take care of myself and my family?
anyways, here’s how i shaped up on my april intentions:
finish the baby + logan’s rooms: i’d say i’m 90% of the way there on cole’s room and about 70% on logan’s. i need to finish logan’s book wall and gallery wall, and cole still has a lot of my clothes in his closet π
have a mommy/logie day: definitely put too much pressure on this one – ha. i planned a day to spend with logan and she was NOT having it, so it turned into a disaster [like, meltdown at target, knocking my coffee out of my hand, yelling at me ALL DAY disaster]. instead i’ve been really intentional about spending chunks of time with her, and she’s been an absolute angel. it actually makes my heart hurt a little bit to think about her being away from us for four-ish days while we are in having the baby … i’m going to miss her! lucky for me grandma and nana will be bringing her up to the hospital to visit.
two weeks of blog posts scheduled out for when baby arrives: ha! no way. i have the content sketched out, but they are nowhere near complete. jokes on me! maybe i’ll get some of it buttoned up in the next week or so [or not]
feel good, not guilty, about leaving work at work: i’ve been doing a better job of shutting off when i get home, when i can. still not 100%, but unless i’m trying to put out a fire, i’m plugging in to my family. or sleeping. or eating a blizzard, then sleeping.
keep up with my daily workouts: “keep up” is a little bit of a stretch, but i’m still trying to walk and do a little strength 5-6 days a week. it’s funny, because i notice that if the idea creeps into my head the night before that i would be fine skipping my workout, i either sleep longer and do a shorter one or skip it all together. your mind is a powerful tool!
make [and keep] all of my doctor’s appointments: i did this! i scheduled out all of them and have been prioritizing them.
rest: lol.
thanks for reading — have a GREAT weekend!
