one of my favorite places to shop for fun, summer dresses has ALWAYS been target. like, since i was ten and would go with my mom. i always had this routine: i’d show her something i liked, she would placate me and tell me it was cute [sure, those pinstriped flared denim were ‘cute’], and i’d sigh [very, VERY dramatically] and say “i’ll go put it bacckkkkkk.” and 9/10 times i’d have to put it back, but every once in a while i’d get my way. some of my favorite wins were summer dresses. where did i get cute dresses to wear for my nights out in the summer? target. and nowadays, i love to say “thanks, it’s from target!” when i get a compliment on my dress. especially from someone in-store. so i am here today to share a few more cute summer easy breezy dresses that i’ve found that take you from park to diaper change to, well, another diaper change to dinner with your gal pals because your husband decided-to-take-the-kids-and-you-aren’t-going-to-save-him-on-this-one. this dress would be super cute for a fourth of july party where you don’t want to be over-the-top “‘MERICA”. don’t get me wrong, i love to be over-the-top ‘MERICA, but to each their own. the smocked top makes it super comfy and fits chests of all sizes. or stages of milk production. it has really cute straps, but you could easily just tuck them in and wear it strapless! i wouldn’t worry about the top falling down AT ALL. super comfortable and stays in place.
you guys know i love a good ‘wear with sneakers’ dress, and this one fits the bill. i honestly thought i was going to end up returning this one, since i’m for sure keeping the camo one, but this one is way too cute. i’ll be pairing this one with a leopard belt and these leopard sneakers i finally pulled the trigger on. it would also look super cute with these leopard sandals.
of course, i had to have a camo option for you! same dress as the dress above, just a different print. i’m pleasantly surprised that it’s SLIGHTLY [just ever so slightly] A-line, meaning that it nips in at the waist just a touch. not enough to be tight, but perfect to give you a little shape and not giving the ‘maternity dress’ vibe. it also gives the perfect spot to belt. i’ll also be pairing this one with a leopard belt and the aforementioned leopard sneakers.
this is another one i wasn’t really sure i was going to like, but LOVE on. the floral handkerchief print is SO fun for summer, and the tie waist is incredibly flattering. oh, it’s nursing friendly, too.
another great sneaker or sandal-ready dress. it’s a little longer than it looks online, which is GREAT. it’s super soft. just a great, basic dress. it’s hard to tell in pics, but it is a navy + white stripe print. this might be my favorite of the whole bunch!
