happy monday! it occurred to me i hadn’t shared some of my outfits as of late [#wiwl = what i wore lately]. being on maternity leave has given me a chance to wear some of my more casual outfits instead of workwear [which is pretty casual by office-attire standards, but definitely not as casual as my maternity leave choices :)] like i said the other day, a lot of what i wear isn’t in stock anymore, so i’ll link anything i can that’s similar. i’m also purely sharing because i find inspiration from other’s outfits, and hope that by sharing i will do the same.
in this podcast interview with courtney kerr, amber venz-box said her clothing feels like her armor, and i could not agree more. i LOVE getting dressed, and it really truly sets the tone for my day. if i feel confident in what i’m wearing, whether it’s the perfect jogger/graphic tee combo or blazer/skinny pant/pointy-toe shoe, it goes hand in hand with feeling great about my body, though, so that’s why i choose to focus on fashion + wellness. look good, feel good, do good.
i’ve posted about these camo shorts before, and i LOVE LOVE LOVE this sweatshirt. it washes up well, and i always get stopped when i’m wearing it. i just ordered another sweatshirt and have this tee and this tee from them as well. i seriously love this site for fun graphic tops.
this dress is the easiest piece and looks like you’re ‘trying,’ if you get what i mean. it looks like you spent a ton of time finding the perfect piece to wear, and you can dress it up or down [you know that’s a must for me]. it has pockets and the bright color stands out. oh, and it has pockets; need i say more? i paired it with some white platform sneaks, but i’ve worn it with sandals already as well.
this entire outfit is from last year or earlier, so i don’t have current links for any of it. i wanted to share because it’s a who what wear dress that i have worn on a number of occasions, including to a mother’s day brunch, birthday party, and to work. it’s flattering with the belted waist, and the open front makes it nursing friendly. the dress is old who what wear, and the sandals are old j.crew. i’ve linked some of my current faves of both below.
i got seersuckered! beth of seersucker and saddles has THE BEST style, and i saw her wearing this dress and had to have it. truth: i also ordered it in the forest green because this color was initially sold out. good thing they restocked! since it’s amazon, i know sizing can be hit or miss, but this fits pretty true to size. NOT nursing friendly, since joey had to come with me to unzip/zip my dress every time i went to pump when i was at the wedding i wore it to. the sacrifices you make for style – ha! these wedges are some of my favorites and i’ve had them for YEARS. yes, they’re super tall, but they are extremely comfortable. i actually had some pretty substantial wear marks on one of my original ones so i ended up ordering another pair off of poshmark the week before the wedding.
as i’m starting to get myself back into work-mode, you can expect more office-friendly styles to be back on the blog. i just found a few pairs of pants that i’m excited to wear and share [if they wear well!]. have a great day!
