happy thursday! i’m not sure about where you are, but there’s a crispness in the air that is flirting with fall (unless your my SIL in alabama, in which case, i see your snaps, and its HOT there still). that makes me think of one of my favorite seasons of all … school shopping. now, i’m not in school anymore, but i still partake in the seasonal freshening of all things office supplies, clothing, and even home decor. read on to find out what i am loving from a dorm-room-meets-joanna-gaines inspired standpoint at everyone’s favorite retailer.
per usual, hearth & hand has the cutest fall decor out and makes me want to shiplap everything. my home will is in serious need of some decor refreshing since i’m in the process of getting rid of the home decor that no longer brings me joy. which is a lot of it, really. so bring on fall from joanna gaines-land! here are some of my favorites. oh, and the baby fiddle leaf figs are on sale … you’re welcome. also, how cute is this letterboard?!
our downstairs bathroom isn’t quite as large as a master, but it’s bigger than your standard full bath, so i’ve been looking for some sort of side table to house towels/guest odds and ends for a while. enter this marble beauty. i’m thinking it’s going to be a winner and go with all of the seasonal decor i end up switching it out with (check out this post on my decor inspo for that space).
let’s talk meal-planning, real quick. i have been attempting to do it on a weekly basis and leave the plan on a calendar on our wall so that joey can see what i had planned for dinner and get it started before i get home, but it’s a giant desk planner that’s not really conducive to building a grocery list for me to bring shopping on sundays, so imagine how excited i was when i found this! there are 52 pages — one for each week of the year. leave it to target to have EXACTLY what i didn’t know i needed, and in a perfect, farmhouse chic version. target also started carrying some new, v. cute, glass containers for lunch/mealprep. i’m feeling vveerrryy back to school!
anyone else have a dog that sheds? i love our yellow lab, but it’s hair city at my house. for that exact reason, i typically buy throw blankets to keep on the couch/foot of the bed that are inexpensive, yet cute. i ended up getting two new ones from the dorm collection at target to throw into the rotation.
also, most of this stuff is on sale right now! hop on over and order online for convenience, or take a trip into the store to fill your cart with all sorts of things that you don’t really “need” by definition, but you really do need.
