november intentions

pc: maria lloyd photography

happy november! the month of thanksgiving, and basically the kickoff to christmas. i know people love to hang on to fall, but i am ALL FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON. not because i love gifts {although i do love gift-giving}, but because it’s a season that focuses on joy and togetherness. that brings me to one of my intentions for november:

decide on + purchase christmas gifts

i hate being stressed about christmas gifts, both from a monetary and a list standpoint, so i want to start early to spread it out. i also like having time to be thoughtful, since i LOVE giving gifts.

get my christmas cards done

maria took our pictures a few weeks ago, so i’m ahead of the game there. my goal is to get them ordered so i can mail them out first week of december. i have used minted the last few years, and LOVED how they turned out. if you have any suggestions for places to get christmas cards done, send my way — i’d love to check it out! also, it feels so adult to be doing christmas cards let alone be on time or early with them. wowza.

do 2 different workouts per week

logan likes working out with the mirror, too

i have been doing this more and more lately (mostly thanks to the mirror!), and i want to make it stick. i also do some tone it up workouts, depending on timing, so my goal is to keep going with that in addition to walking everyday. there’s so much research that shows the benefits of strength training, and i’m not getting any younger, so i want to prioritize building more muscle now.

eat more spices

we have been eating a lot of the same things for well over a year now, and it’s time to spice it up (literally!). i am really good at roasting things and putting a pre-made sauce on it, but i want to get better at using spices. i’ll be scrounging pinterest for some good recipes that incorporate spices (of any kind!), but if you have some recommendations, send them my way!

ok, so those are my november intentions. there are only three, but they feel like pretty big undertakings for a very busy month!
