day 3 of working from home, and i’m trying to think critically about all of the things i can do in the peace and *relative* quiet of my own home. here are some things i’ve come up with that you can do while you’re social distancing, along with links for where to order from target!
give yourself a mani + pedi
i don’t know about you, but this is one of those things i do in a rush all the time, and always end up smudging at least one nail [but usually more]. my favorite brands for nail polish are essie and OPI, but i’ve found that sally hanson has some great gel-ish nail polish, too.
organize your closet
now is the time to clean things out and organize your closet! i have been meaning to do this since i went on maternity leave, and just never got to the point where i did it thoroughly. i’ll get two hours a day back not commuting, and i want to commit to really editing my closet. here are some items that can help give it a more uniform and organized look once you have pared down what you are keeping:
work out
seriously, move. i am super lucky that i have a treadmill and the mirror at home because most of the time, i don’t live close enough to a gym to actually go. if you don’t have something like that at your disposal, go ahead and go for a walk, do some yoga [there are a ton of free resources online!], or just find a way to move your body. i even taught logan to do legs up the wall post-workout this week, and now it’s become a part of our morning routines. how crunchy-granola-millennial-wellness mom is that? i wrote about the benefits of a workout here, and they are more important now than ever.
