what’s up, kels?

hi guys! today’s post is just a check-in on everything i have going on in my life, things i’ve purchased, what i’ve posted about, what we have been doing, reading, wearing … you get the gist. i really want to just be real, so here’s what i’ve really been doing/thinking/wearing/buying/eating/reading this week!

i listened to this podcast last week on a whim, and it turned out to be great and full of so many little nuggets of wisdom. i went ahead and ordered the book off of amazon as well.

it’s been sunny more, which is amazing for my mood. i said it before when i was on maternity leave, but the sunshine and ability to get outside really makes a difference. i’m so thankful for that right now.

just added a few new pieces to shopgolden30, including these ‘friendship necklaces‘. remember friendship bracelets? these are like that, but stylish and super cool! made from old statement jewelry, they are the perfect mother’s day, birthday, or just any day gift.

we got the news that we will be working from home until june at least, which was a big bummer. i love going into our office and i love my coworkers. i also REALLY love getting dressed and styled to go be around other people all day long, and while i understand why target is keeping us remote for a little while longer, i’m still disappointed. it’s hard to find the motivation to get dressed as i normally would just to sit at home all day. that being said, i’m starting a series called “what i wore to the mailbox” where i’m going to style outfits that are way, way over the top for when i walk across the street. here’s the one i’m starting off with.

oh, and i finally got my sequin pants and sequin dress from j.crew. i would have been excited about them before, but needless to say, i am pretty smitten by them now. can’t wait to wear them somewhere other than the mailbox!

hope you can all have an enjoyable weekend. i’ll be here playing outside with my kids and making a weird, likely uncomfortable yet much looked forward to, trip to the grocery store. see you next week!
