may intentions

what a weird month april was. i found myself feeling not very … myself. i have actually been deep diving on astrology, numerology, and other podcast topics of the like because i really feel drawn to the idea that there might be clues out there. like, i don’t think my horoscope dictates my life, but i like the idea that if i have an idea in the back of my mind, it’ll manifest itself. if i listen to astrologers about what may happen or has the potential to happen, the odds that i see those things show up in my life are likely going to happen a lot more often. but i digress – we are here for may intentions, after all! here’s what i want to focus on this month

stick to the meal plan

i’ve been veering away from the meal plan i put together a lot lately. i work really hard on the weekends to essentially forecast what my family is going to want to eat, and it kind of goes to hell during the week. i just ordered this cookbook [SO excited, i love her] and am doing dinner recipes from there all week. more to come on how they turn out!

keep switching up my workouts

notice how i said “keep”? i’ve been testing out all of the free trials out there for various workout subscriptions, and i like it. i’ve also been using my mirror a lot [love the barre workouts!] and can tell a little difference. i want to keep that up!

elevate my everyday

my style has fallen by the wayside. it’s leggings and a sweatshirt everyday, and i need to get out of that rut. with the idea that this quarantine and work from home lifestyle might change the way that we all work forever [read, maybe more working remotely???], i want to make sure i don’t turn into someone that never gets dressed. my goal is to, instead of throwing in your usual “comfortable tee and jeans!” outfit if i want to step it up a notch, do. it. up. wear the sequin pants, the button down bodysuit, the dress with the statement sleeves. put on jewelry. maybe even a scarf, a la my new favorite style icon for 2020, dr. deborah birx.

those are my three intentions for may. i’m focused on my health and my style – two things that are very important to me and two things i have let get way, way off track. look good, feel good; but i believe they are mutual. you have to feel good to look good, too. here’s to a great may, you guys, whatever it may bring. thanks for reading!
