it’s no secret that i love dairy queen. and not in one of those “oh i’ll snap a pic but never eat it very often” way; i eat it multiple times per week. sure, i do my best to eat healthy, but girl’s gotta live, right?
anyways, i was going to share a post of some of the salads i’ve been eating lately, but in the vein of being ~*aUtHeNtIc*~, i wanted to share some of the blizzards i’ve been loving lately.
the new one: drumstick blizzard
my biggest criteria when it comes to ice cream is making sure it has enough chunks in it. i’m that person at the fro-yo place that starts with the toppings and just blobs some ice cream on top of it so it doesn’t look so obscene (but then it weighs a ton and the gig’s up). anyways, this blizzard DELIVERS. there’s the crunchy chocolate covered cone, the peanuts, chunks GALORE! i normally switch it up but i’ve been ordering this one on repeat.
the tried-and-true: reeses with cone dip
this is one i discovered in high school, thanks to my mom (she used to work at diary queen when she was in high school so she knows all the hacks). i mentioned it in this blog post, but adding cone dip is one way to maximize the chunks. my go-to blizzard has been a reeses with either butterscotch or cherry cone dip for YEARS. decades, i guess, now. i know it sounds weird, but trust me – try it.
what i want to try next: cotton candy cone dip + ???
i saw a sign that they have cotton candy cone dip, so i NEED to figure out a way to try that in my blizzard! i know, it sounds SO juvenile, but i can’t help but think it will be good. this is where i need your help: what kind of blizzard do i mix that into? i don’t like chunks of fruit in my blizzard very often, but what do you think i should mix it with? please help a girl out, and comment below or over on insta.
also, drop your fave blizzard below so we can all see! bonus points if there is max chunks.
i love dq and ice cream so much i just made myself this bad boy and wear it everyday.
