happy monday! this week is returning to “normal” compared to last week. and let’s be clear, this “normal” isn’t really “normal,” but the kids are back at daycare and joey’s heading back to school this week. we were all home as a family last week, quarantining, but luckily all turned up negative for the ‘vid. last week did give me a lot of perspective, though, and was a nice little reminder on how much i’ve grown in the last year.
see, when we were first home, i was like “HOW WILL I SURVIVE WORKING FROM HOME?!” and while i’m still itching to get back to the office, i now have my routine here, and having my family home is amazing, but having to lock my kids out of my office and tell them i can’t play with them absolutely breaks my heart. i’d love to have them in my office playing while i’m on zoom calls, but they’re not quite old enough to know what’s appropriate and what isn’t. someday. until then, i’ll be so thankful they are in daycare where they are loved, cared for, and can get their energy out.
so monday, i’m back working from home, somewhat alone, and will take the small wins. here’s to a great week!
