tar-zhay thursday: athleisure at it’s finest + k beauty

hi, and welcome back for another round of ‘here’s what i spent my paycheck on this week.’ before i get to all the target goodies, i wanted to share a quick athleisure outfit [well, formula, really because we all know how much i like formulas and math and all that]. see, i went through my sweatpants and sweatshirts phase. and i’m not talking the first six [more like sixteen] weeks post-logan. i mean in college, to class, everyday [on the days i went. sorry mom!]. little did i know that there was more to life than cuffing my sweatpants and shoving them into my half rolled down ugg boots.

for me, styling athleisure looks is something of an art form, because function + fashion are equally important.

  1. figure out what bottoms look best for what you are doing. going on a walk with your kid? wear those leggings with pockets, so you have a place to put your phone/random items dropped/pet rocks adopted along the way. headed to the mall? wear bottoms you feel comfortable being seen in [i’ve been wearing these joggers on repeat on the weekends]
  2. what kind of top goes with that? does it need to perform double duty, and not only cover your top half, but your bottom [if ya catch my drift]? pick a color that compliments your leggings, but avoid looking like an ’80s workout star. full disclosure: i missed the ’80s by 3 months [showing my age, i know], but i feel qualified enough to speak on that since , ya know, the internet.
  3. add layers. this jacket is perfect with leggings, jeans and joggers alike. it’s lightweight, so i can layer, but substantial enough i stayed warm while wearing it in and out of a rainstorm.
  4. SHOES. wear something comfy and cute. when in doubt, go with some nike free’s, since they are cute but more importantly super comfortable.

alright, on to what you guys are really here for — the goods i’ve rounded up. i ordered both k-beauty sets after looking at them for a long time. do any of you have experience with them, or just really good skincare tips/products in general? let me know – comment below or comment on my lasted instagram! i’m always looking for ways to amp up my routine. happy thursday!
