there’s just something so sweet about typing “target fall fashion finds.” i LOVE fall. i love back to school, love the whole ‘orchard season’ thing (even though i haven’t been to an orchard in, like, twenty years), and i’ve even come to love pumpkins. i actually had a pumpkin allergy growing up, but have since grown out of it THANK GOODNESS, because how can i even claim to be a millennial if i don’t partake in at least one PSL?! (also, i know there’s not actually pumpkin in it, but i digress …)
few things make me happier than seeing the plaids, the flannels, the long sleeves when entering my favorite retailer. add in some dramatic sleeves, and you’ve got the recipe for some G-REAT fall items to add to your wardrobe. here is what i’m loving this week:
this top. i actually bought it in both colors, since i think a plain tee with a great shoulder detail is the perfect way to elevate any simple outfit. the oatmeal colored one is not see through, which i worry about with light colored tops. it hits at the perfect length to tuck into shirts.
excuse the mess in the background (i’m doing my fall closet refresh + adding more to my poshmark closet daily), but i was so excited to try on this combo. you guys know i’m a fan of mixing prints – it just up-levels your outfit game – so i was actually kind of excited to try mixing the zebra print with these plaid pants. normally i’m not that big of a fan of brown and still a little burnt out on zebra, but this outfit does it for me. pair with some light, pointy-toed flats and you have a great fall into winter outfit.
plaid! my beloved plaid and flannel is back in season. while the weather has been AWESOME lately (and i don’t want to jinx it), it never fails that there are a couple of hot days in the fall, and i don’t exactly want to revert to my summer clothes. how perfect is this sleeveless, long plaid dress? the ruffle detail adds a little feminine flair. pair with leopard booties (me? leopard? shocking.) and you’re set!
other fun things i’ve found:
this sweater [you can never have enough leopard sweaters]
this cardigan. i’m obsessed with the shoulder detail – that’s what sold me on it.
this long sleeved, long flannel … dress? duster? i had one last year that i got asked a million questions about, and i’m thrilled target came out with their own version!
this shirt + pants combo… i have gone back and forth on these pants a million times and finally went and snagged them when i saw a girl in the elevator wearing them. she told me they held their shape after a wash, and i was sold! and you know i love a good shoulder detail, so this one was immediately added to my basket as i flew by on my way through the store.
also, a camo flannel shirt? UM YES PLZ. it’s long enough that it covers my backside in leggings, too. well done target, well done.
guys. so much good stuff. also the home page is giving me all the fall fashion feels, so every time i go to target.com i swear i end up with more in my virtual shopping cart. let’s hope joey doesn’t read this blog post – ha!
happy thursday!
