five good things that happened this week

in light of a pretty heavy week in the world, i just wanted to bop in and share five good things i found this week. you see, i’m a huge believer that it’s not all that bad, and there’s SO much good around us, it just doesn’t get as many views/clicks/likes if we sit around and talk about good things. here are five good things that made me happy this week:

cue the happy tears

this instagram post went viral, but whether you’ve seen it or not, it deserves another look. i can’t tell you the sense of pride i feel working for this company even if the work i do day-to-day doesn’t touch this specific instance. the people that work for target, hq/stores/distro centers alike, are amazing people making amazing change happen in the everyday moments that we all experience. that mom didn’t go to target thinking she’d have a special moment like this with her son, but she did. and that is SO special. ok, logan just asked me why i’m crying. i’m not crying, you’re crying.

amazon for the bedding win

i have sheets from amazon that i LOVE (and they’re less than $30 bucks – score!) so when i saw that purewow endorsed this amazon duvet cover, i was thrilled. i love duvet covers for their washability (not a word, but it is now!) since i have kids, a dog, and a love for eating blizzards in bed. thanks to prime, it’ll be delivered to my doorstep tomorrow 🙂

kelly leveque taught me how to eat at the airport

and so much more in her new book, body love everyday. you guys, i can’t recommend kelly’s wisdom enough. she’s got a realistic approach to how to eat to fuel your body, but without sacrificing anything. you’ve heard me talk about the #fab4smoothie a million times, but this new book offers so much more. i have it on both audible and irl. get your copy here, if interested.

sparkle and shine

i love to learn [enneagram 5, you guys] and the museum of natural history [all those dc museums, actually] is calling me, like the spirits are calling elsa [MOMS OF SMALL KIDS, YOU GET THE REFERENCE]. add in a shiny new gem exhibit? SOLD! and by sold i mean i’ll be pestering joey to go to dc with me this summer. think of the vibes in that place.

can’t find what you want? make it yourself.

that’s actually what led me to decide to put together a little shop of cheeky, curated, custom clothing and accessories to elevate your everyday. case in point: i love a good charm bracelet, but it’s really hard to type with one on. so i decided i wanted a charm necklace. guess what? couldn’t find one i liked. so i made it myself, with help from my tiny assistant, logan. it’s near and dear to my heart and something i wear that serves a fashion function while being sentimental – which is key for me. shop is launching soon! drop your email below (if you haven’t already!) and get exclusive first access when it does launch. oh! and keep an eye on stories since i’ll be polling you guys on which pieces to include in pre-orders <3

have a great weekend!
