fourth of july recipes

sharing some of the best looking recipes to make for the holiday — here are my picks for fourth of july recipes:

4th of july s’mores dip – looks pretty easy [like i could do it], and great for all ages!

no-bake cheesecake flag cake – i’m a sucker for anything that’s aesthetically patriotic

want to go the healthy[ish] route? festive fruit skewers. easy + kids and adults alike will love them!

side salads [but, like not your average macaroni salad]

fresh watermelon salad: watermelon + mint + feta has to be one of the most genius combos [but wondering who came up with it … sounds like one of those “clean out the fridge” combos that went right!], and add some blueberries and you are GOOD.TO.GO. check out the recipe for the salad here.

creamy avocado pasta salad: need i say more? (actually, as the mom of a tree-nut, peanut-free kid, please give a heads up to the people at the party if you use nut milk!) but seriously, you’d find me hanging out next to this bowl until it was GONE. i am a millennial and it has avocado, after all.

broccoli salad: you had me at goat cheese.

dips [logan’s favorite food group]

fruit salsa: how had i not thought of this before?! brilliant. this might be what i end up bringing.

corn salsa with lime: this one comes from skinnytaste, where i’ve been pulling some recipes from as of late. i have heard from a lot of people that skinnytaste has awesome recipes, so i’m excited to try this one at some point this summer.

pineapple mango salsa: another fruit salsa that looks amazing. bonus points if you make it in the pineapple itself.
