hi friends! back today with some of my new favorite nail polishes from target. my go-to brand there is almost always essie, although i dabble in sally hanson and have always been an OPI lover.
i’m really into embracing fall colors (normally i staunchly resist gold, rust, and orange), so it’s no surprise i picked this gold for my nails. my gripe with light colors is that they are usually see through and it’s hard to make them not streaky, but the color of this one is thick enough that it only took two coats (+ base and top coat) to get it looking even! it goes on smooth, and the formula itself isn’t heavy, but the color spreads nicely. bonus: our town colors are blue and gold, and as someone who loves a good detail, having gold nail polish won’t go to waste around here.
i decided to go with a darker, forest-y green on my toes right now because i feel like the color, although part of their travel/jet-setter collection, carries into fall really well. another one that’s two coats and good to go!
here are some of my other favorites getting me in the fall mood. i love a good red and black with some sort of sparkle/shimmer is always so fun and vampy. i’m also a big fan of a nude or clear with JUST sparkles; if i had to do it over, that’s what i’d do for my wedding.
