crowdsourced: “what do you wish you could tell your younger self?”

sorry it’s been a hot minute friends. i intended to get this post up a week ago, but between having kids home for two weeks in january and getting completely locked out of the blog thanks to technical difficulties, i’m finally doing this today. oh well!

anyways, i had crowdsourced some answers from the smart people on my instagram a few weeks ago in response to the question “what do you wish you could tell your younger self?” and here are your answers:

” that it is literally impossible to make everyone happy. still learning this.”
“self love”
“don’t be afraid to let go of what doesn’t serve you – friendships, school, even family”
“take more chances earlier”
“travel travel travel”
“it’s okay if you fail, but don’t be afraid to succeed!”
“comparison is the thief of joy!”
“someone’s opinion of you is none of your business!”
a lot of what i worried about early in life wouldn’t matter later”
“always negotiate salary!”
“that we’re all struggling with something AND that’s what unifies us as humanity. struggle=beauty”
“that i could do way more than i ever gave myself credit for”

so good. all of them. you guys really are the smartest, coolest people on the planet. thanks for sharing! stay tuned on the ‘gram for more questions from me that i’ll be sharing back here.
