happy monday! we have one week left until the big day[s], and as much as this time of year should NOT be about gifts, if you’re anything like me, you struggle to find the perfect gift because it’s your way to show someone you love them. i’ve rounded up some gifts today that i’ve deemed to be in that “perfect gift” category. when i think of this gift recipient, it’s a mom, sister, or bestie. it’s the person in your life you really want to find the PERFECT gift for because they make your life that much better. i planned this post out with my mom specifically in mind, because she is the one person that, every year, i’m on the hunt for something special. something she wouldn’t have come across, and something she probably wouldn’t have purchased for herself. [that being said, mom, since i know you read this, i want to be clear that none of these are under the tree with your name on it ;)]
in my opinion, it’s always awesome when you can find someone a piece of jewelry they would wear [i love initial or monogrammed jewelry!], a pair of shoes that they would really love, or something really comfy AND cute, like this cardigan. when in doubt, you can go the gift card route [which i appreciate receiving and definitely give every year!], but if you can find that special item, it’s so rewarding to see the joy when someone opens it, and even more special when they wear or use it throughout the year.
hopefully this holiday season doesn’t have you too stressed at this point, and you are truly taking time to enjoy it with fam and friends. we are taking logan to look at christmas lights later this week, and i can’t wait! she’s so fun right now, looking at anything and everything christmas-related and saying “my christmas!” it sounds so cliche [and this is coming from a former eye-roller], but seeing the magic of christmas through a kids’ eyes makes it really special. wishing you and yours the merriest of holiday seasons!
