cyber monday sales :: what i’m really buying [and brands i support]

this holiday season is kind of exhausting, right? we have 6 less ‘shopping’ days (6 less days in general) in between thanksgiving and christmas, and there is this frenzy of thanksgiving — black friday — small biz saturday — wait, there’s a sunday?– cyber monday — let’s just turn this into cyber week. everything’s on sale, but what sales should you actually be shopping? look no further; i’m here to share what i’m really buying this cyber monday.

abercrombie: i bopped in this weekend and tried on some abercrombie jeans, considering i haven’t worn them in years. those of you that recommended them way back when i asked for denim recos were right — they are GOOD! they finally fit better (like, normal-ish sizing) and not everything in there has a moose emblazoned on it. i’m a [re-inspired] fan! here are my picks:

baublebar: baublebar is another one of those companies that i’ve always loved, but love more now that i’ve listened to various podcasts with the founders. daniella yacabovsky and amy jain are geniuses, and i love that they’ve found a white space in the market of trendy, affordable jewelry. also, i’m OBSESSED with these phone cases. here are my picks:

beautycounter: tomorrow’s post is an in-depth review of one of the products i’ve been using from beautycounter, but spoiler alert: i love it! what i love the most is that the products are good for me, the environment, and they work. i thought i had to give up on efficacy of a product if it was the ingredients were all safe, but i’ve been proven wrong. beautycounter has safe products that WORK, and work well! i prefer some products to their ulta/sephora counterparts. some of my favorites to date include this mask, this line (specifically the serum and the moisturizer!) and the eyeshadows. i dare say the eyeshadows are comparable to the naked palettes? a post for another day, but to say i’m impressed to so far is an understatement, considering what a skeptic i was at first. [note: if you choose to shop beautycounter, you can search me as your consultant! that lets me keep track of what you are trying, and gives me real-time feedback as to what you guys are liking. you can search my full name “kelsey puncochar” at checkout. as always, thanks for trusting my recommendations xx]

spanx: you know the ultra-flattering, totally-transitional leggings everyone raves about? there’s a reason they rave about them. oh, and they come in leopard and camo, too! spanx leggings are one of those staples you reach for season after season, so take advantage of the 20% off deal they have going on! one for you, one for your mom, your friend, heck – even your dog; they’re that good. also, sara blakely (founder of spanx) is a BOSS.

rebecca minkoff: i’ve talked about how much i respect her as a biz lady before, and for that reason, i absolutely want to support her business. it helps that her bags are super functional and cute – v. ‘cool mom’ esque.

ok – spill. where are you shopping? happy monday!
