i’ll be the first to tell you, there are a million bloggers that are doing full, in-depth coverage of the nordstrom anniversary sale (you can find a lot of them via this pinterest board). i LOVE it, but i’m not here to tell you you should buy everything i have my eye on. today, i’m really focusing on the five pieces that i would only buy on sale, including that which i already own 🙂
1. the spanx faux leather leggings
guys, i know this is on everyone’s list. i have had these leggings for YEARS and worn them at least once a week in the winter months, and they are great. there are a lot of great leggings out there, though, so i really would only buy these on sale. if you’re going to spend $100 bucks on leggings, i have a couple of other brands recommend, but for $64
2. socialite stretch satin joggers
joggers are the ultimate mvp of pants. they fill the void where you can’t wear sweats, but want to be comfortable. dress them up for work, dress them down with a hoodie; they’re the best. read more about how much i love joggers here.
3. free people leo henley tee
nothing i love more than a good, oversized henley to wear with those spanx leggings! but seriously, free people makes the best flowy tops, and i’ve loved henleys ever since i was wearing some old navy/gap ones to middle school circa 2001.
4.bb dakota eldridge shirt jacket
if there’s one thing everyone in this country can benefit from, besides a heavy dose of grace and humility, it’s a shacket. a shirt jacket. perfect for layering, or not, because #alabama, a shacket is a piece you can dress down with denim or wear over a dress for a fun, elevated casual look.
5. rachel parcell print tiered ruffle skirt
it’s leopard, it’s tiered, its beautiful. the perfect statement piece, this skirt is a showstopper. again, it’s one of those pieces i wouldn’t spend $100 on, but on sale, it should definitely come home with me 🙂
